Fits and assembles components by operating machines such as arbor presses, riveting press, brazing machine, and resistance welding machines to complete assembly. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, Required Overtime on Saturdays 6am-12pm
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate equipment per established procedures.
Lays out and marks reference points onto screen material (perforated and/or mesh material)
Perform necessary tool changes per established procedures.
Follows blueprints and job orders.
Set up machines to process parts.
Shape production pieces to specific configurations.
Remove part from machine and inspect.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent.
Good communication skills
Submit to Drug Screen and Background Search
Two years’ experience equipment operations.
Basic knowledge and understanding of machine operations, practices and processes.
Must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
Must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination to make precise bends and cuts.
Ability to follow directions both written and verbal.
Must be able to work to a blueprint and hold close dimensions on finished parts.
Good oral and written and communication skills.
Requires precise calculations and accurate blueprint understanding to perform proper sequencing.
Must have the ability to stand at a machine for extended periods.
Constantly involves walking, grasping, leaning, pushing and pulling, bending and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally involves sitting, fine manipulation, reaching above and below shoulder level and carrying up to 15 lbs.
Involves driving a forklift, operating a crane, working around equipment and machinery, requires the utilization of personal protective equipment.
