Project Team Lead – Manufacturing & Assembly (Retail Display Production)
Position Summary
The Project Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing and assembly line dedicated to preparing, assembling, packaging, and shipping retail displays for a major big-box retailer. This role ensures production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications are met while leading a team of assemblers and production associates to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily production activities for retail display assembly projects.
Supervise, train, and support assembly line employees to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are achieved.
Monitor production schedules and ensure displays are completed and shipped on time to meet customer deadlines.
Review project specifications, work instructions, and retailer requirements to ensure compliance.
Ensure proper assembly, labeling, packaging, and preparation of display units according to customer specifications.
Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
Perform quality inspections throughout the production process and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or production environments.
Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience working with retail displays, point-of-purchase (POP) displays, merchandising fixtures, or contract manufacturing is a plus.
Strong understanding of production workflows, quality control, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and project specifications.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
