Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Material Handler who manages the movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products within a facility or supply chain. Key duties include loading/unloading, inventory management, operating machinery like pallet jacks and forklifts, documenting transactions, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities:
Organize and label cleaned parts according to job order and fabrication schedule
Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment and work area
Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, personal protective equipment (PPE), and shop procedures
Communicate any issues or inconsistencies with parts to the production supervisor
Accurately complete logs or quality control documentation as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior experience in a manufacturing or automotive shop environment is a plus
Basic understanding of metal types and shop tools
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to lift and handle parts up to 50 lbs. regularly
Familiarity with solvents, degreasers, and safe chemical handling procedures
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Work Environment:
Fast-paced shop environment with moderate noise and airborne particles
Exposure to cleaning chemicals (proper PPE provided)
Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks throughout the shift
