We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to perform a variety of professional, paraprofessional and technical accounting duties in the preparation, maintenance, and review of financial aid records and statistical reports. Candidate will be required to answer phone calls, greet customers, order office supplies, process invoices & pay applications. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and take initiative. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 1-hour lunch
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining Vendor files for accuracy
Responsible for maintaining W-9 for 1099 reporting
Responsible for monitoring (COI) to ensure they are up to date
Responsible for entering SOV & POs into accounting program.
Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of vendor invoices and supporting documentation and enter in accounting program & Job folder on the Operations Drive
Verifying supporting documentation for Sales Tax, Certified Payrolls and other required documents
Process payments for vendors / subcontractors (check, online, etc.)
Requirements and Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or 3-5 years of accounts payable experience.
Extensive accounts payable experience required, preferably in construction field
Previous QuickBooks Experience preferred
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills
Post data and make mathematical computations accurately.
Understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.
Submit to Background & Drug Screening
