Munzing is seeking the following individual for our Clover, SC Manufacturing Plant:
CHEMICAL PACKAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Production Supervisor, and is responsible for performing all day-to-day activities involving Material
Handling and Packaging functions
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
? Safely use standard forklift, pallet jack and hand cart to load, unload, and move product
? Material Handling and Packaging functions – filling, lifting, rolling and labeling drums and pails of hazardous chemicals by
following detailed procedures
? Completing required paperwork for product batches
? Keep work area clean and organized and ensure equipment is kept in clean, working order
? Adhere to OSHA standards and safe work practices at all times
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
? High school diploma or GED equivalent, and previous experience in shipping, receiving, material handling is a must;
preferably in a manufacturing environment in the Chemical industry
? Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training
? Basic math and computer skills
? Knowledge of OSHA standards and Safe Work procedures
? Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with co-workers and supervisors
? Self-starter with the ability to work under minimum supervision, be highly motivated, and enjoy working as part of a team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
? Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in a fast paced, chemical manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required
? Must have the ability to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and frequently walk, bend,
kneel, stoop, reach, and generally perform physically demanding tasks
? Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, hard hats, steel toe cap boots,
and company provided uniform
FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt
HOURS: 40 Hours, Full-time
WORK SCHEDULE: 2nd shift - 2:30pm - 11:00pm Monday-
Friday PAY RANGE: $17.00-$19.00 /hour includes $1.00 shift
differential
