JOB SUMMARY:




Serve as a plant resource for line improvements, line automation, realignment of product flow equipment and machinery in conjunction with Engineering and Maintenance. 




RESPONSIBILITIES (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
  1. Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:
    1. The Global Operating System Plays;
    2. ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard;
    3. IATF 16949 Technical Specification Management and Client Quality Basics system standards.
  2. Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Mega Force’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
  3. Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to the Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
  4. Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
    1. Maintain department 5S requirements.
  5. Troubleshoot process automation problems.
  6. Perform regular housekeeping duties.
  7. Work within QS9000 procedures and requirements.
  8. Ensure work is performed in a manner that minimizes downtime.
  9. Ensure all new and rebuild equipment has all features required by CSA, OSHA, and Electrical Safety Code.
  10. Perform root cause analysis failure.
  11. Maintain equipment documentation updated.
  12. Participate in meetings with supervisors, co-workers and employees to plan upcoming activities and to update projects.

ACADEMIC / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  2. Completed a three-year program in electrical or mechanical technology, or equivalent working experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
  1. Minimum requirement of five years experience in CNC and robotic repair/ programming.
  2. Ability to evaluate condition of damaged mechanical equipment and make recommendations for repair or replacement. Compare states of each item before and after damage, consider cost and feasibility of repairs in compliance with codes and regulations and examine advantages of replacing equipment. Assess suitability of new equipment needed for installations and repairs.
  3. Ability to work in teams that include engineers, machinists, and architects.
  4. Ability to provide technical support and services to engineers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  1. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, visual activity
  2. Climbing, balancing, reaching, walking, grasping
  3. Pulling, pushing and lifting over 50 lbs.
  4. Noise, extreme temperatures, atmospheric conditions and oils/coolants
