Machine operators’ responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work area and equipment: Operators must keep their work area and equipment clean, sanitary and in working order at all times. They are responsible for maintenance of machinery and issuing work orders for any issues not immediately corrected. Operators are to keep doors closed and locked at all times. They must inspect work area and equipment and report any deviations from standards as outlined in the policy manual. Operators must monitor work area at all times to ensure no unauthorized personnel enter their area and control traffic flow. Operators are responsible for administering all aspects of policy manual in their work area.
Product: Machine operators are responsible for the products they produce. Operators must ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards for product, packaging and labeling as described in policy manual. Operators must perform quality checks per Sachs policy manual as well as any additional checks or tasks required to meet or exceed quality standards. Non conforming product is to be indentified and placed on hold by machine operators. Operators must make management aware of any non conforming product. It is the operator’s responsibility to make recommendations as to how Sachs Peanuts might avoid future quality defects and improve the overall quality of our products.
Personnel: Machine operators are responsible for the employees that work in their area. Operators must administer and enforce policy. It is the operator’s responsibility to ensure that all employees in his/ her area follow all procedures as outlined in manual. The operator must make management aware of any employee that does not follow policy.
Continuous Improvement: Machine operators recognize that it is our goal to continually improve and it is each operator’s responsibility to provide constructive feedback and recommendations in order to improve our products, facilities and personnel.
