Job Description

Forklift Operator — Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
  • Move pallets, raw materials, finished products, and other materials throughout the facility.
  • Stack and retrieve materials from designated storage locations.
  • Inspect forklifts before and after each shift and report mechanical or safety issues.
  • Follow OSHA, company, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records when required.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff, supervisors, drivers, and other employees to coordinate material movement.

Qualifications
  • Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification or willingness to complete employer-provided training.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials.
  • Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and operate a forklift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environments that may include varying temperatures, noise, and heavy equipment.
