Position Summary
RIVR Tech a subsidiary of Lumbee River EMC is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative Temporary Data Entry Specialist to support day-to-day administrative and operational data management in Pembroke. This role is responsible for tracking and entering customer complaints, service orders, and grant-related invoices across core business systems while maintaining high standards of data accuracy, organization, and internal communication.
Key Responsibilities
Enter, update, and maintain customer complaint records, service orders, and grant-related invoice data in Salesforce and the NISC platform.
Review records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and correct or escalate discrepancies as needed.
Track incoming items and maintain organized digital records to support operational visibility and reporting.
Generate routine and ad hoc reports for management and internal teams based on entered and tracked data.
Coordinate with team members across departments to confirm information and ensure consistent record-keeping.
Communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors, and leadership regarding data issues, missing information, and status updates.
Support data integrity by following established processes, maintaining confidentiality, and performing basic quality checks.
Assist with related administrative tasks and special projects assigned during the temporary assignment.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in data handling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn internal systems quickly; experience with CRM, database, or utility platforms is helpful.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous data entry, administrative support, customer service, or records management experience preferred.
Experience using Salesforce, NISC, or similar business systems preferred.
Familiarity with invoice tracking, service order processing, or grant-related documentation preferred.
Working Conditions
This position is based on-site in Pembroke and follows a standard weekday schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The role primarily involves computer-based office work, extended periods of sitting, frequent keyboard use, and regular interaction with internal staff. Occasional additional support may be needed to meet reporting or data-entry deadlines.
