CNC Machine Operator Opportunity in Warsaw, NC




Job Summary




We are seeking a hard-working and reliable assembler with CNC Machine operating experience to join our growing operation. In this role, you will work in our manufacturing department, operating machines and meeting production needs. Under the supervision of the warehouse manager, you will be responsible for assembling cabinets using hand tools such as drills, hammers, and other tools.  Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the machining field; and is able to use common small measuring devices. Performs work to instructions and pre-established guidelines for the job. Follows established quality and safety standards




Duties and Responsibilities



  • Machine Operation: Load cut files and run programmed CNC routers to drill, rout, and cut cabinetry parts.
  • Setup & Teardown: Prepare the CNC machine, install proper tooling/bits, and zero out or verify equipment according to specifications.
  • Material Handling: Load raw wood boards (MDF, plywood, etc.) onto the machine bed and offload finished, cut parts.
  • Organization: Label and group cut components into kits or sets to streamline the workflow for cabinet builders.
  • Quality Control: Measure parts using calipers and tape measures to verify against CAD drawings and design specs.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, clean the machine, clear sawdust/debris, and report any mechanical malfunctions.







Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 2-3 years operating CNC machinery, preferably within a custom millwork, furniture, or cabinet shop environment.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex shop drawings, technical plans, and CAD/CAM software outputs.
  • Math Skills: Proficiency in basic algebra and geometry to calculate measurements, angles, and feed ratios.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift/carry heavy wood panels (up to 50 lbs).
  • Attention to Detail: High precision in tracking job numbers, tracking dimensions, and avoiding material waste
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/trade school certification in CNC machining is a strong asset.
  • Environment: Works in a manufacturing/woodworking shop with loud noise levels and airborne sawdust.
  • PPE: Required to wear safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed boots.
