The purpose of the bailer operator is to ensure the correct and timely collection, bailing, and shipping of material that may be recycled. The duties of a bailer include but are not limited to transporting material to bailers, bailing it, and loading the bails as business needs require. The bailer is required to maintain accurate labeling on each recycle basket at the line and ensure that it matches the material tag listed on the production line. The bailer will assist the warehouse supervisor as required in any other duties that business demand dictates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness is obtained while adhering to all safety rules
Remove recyclable material from the lines and bail the material with like a product to ensure the highest potential return on recyclables
Operate the bailer safely and efficiently
Operate a forklift as required
Assist in another disposal of the recycling effort throughout the plant
Ensure all labeling is accurate for bailed material
Assist department manager and plant manager as otherwise directed
Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
High School Diploma,
Experience in a manufacturing role
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, statistics).
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Good Interpersonal skills needed; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina.
Submit to drug screening and background check
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift components weighing up to 40 pounds.
