Distribution Clerk in Fayetteville, NC Job Summary
The Distribution Associate is responsible for handling, moving and storing various materials within the distribution center. Main duties include receiving, returns processing, order fulfillment and storing inventory. Ensure tasks are conducted in a safe, accurate and timely manner. Utilize scan guns for stock removal and placement within a well-defined process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures safe and accurate production by pulling orders from inventory or putting received good into inventory
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
Able to quickly change priorities or work functions as requested by management ensuring success of overall DC operation
Maintain assigned equipment by completing daily pre-drive inspections and reporting any needed repairs to management
Documents work as directed and plan work in a manner that allows for successful meeting of production requirements
Keep work area, inventory, machinery, and facility in a clean and organized state
Learns and adhere to workplace safety regulations and report safety issues in a proactive manner
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Experience in forklift operating: electric, reach, 4D, pallet jack, stock picker, etc. required
2-3+ years experience in distribution environment using RF Scanner work
Must be able to lift 45 lbs. without help continuously
Goal-oriented team-player
Comfortable with repetitive and stationary work requirements.
Experience with hand tools or machines used to assemble parts.
Ability to work well with others in a dynamic team environment.
Previous experience in Manufacturing / Assembly (preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention
Effective communication and listening skills.
Ability to read and follow work orders.
Good communication skills
