  • Will be assembling various parts and piece to the inoculators
  • Assembly consists of 4 lines within the work area
  • Each line is set up and staged per product order by the Floor Supervisor
  • Will be handling small parts, good hand/eye coordination is important.
  • Will be assembling inoculator’s handles, bodies and sprayers.
  • Could be pop and lock into place, installing tension springs, assembling button assembly, caps and handles
  • Barrel assembly is a another position within this area
  • Wet barrel with (food graded oil)
  • Screw into place to assure proper assembly.
  • Also the Barrel nozzle will be created.
  • Install and assemble nib, collar, modular valves in barrels and spikes (seal/value)
  • Packing Line:
  • Each packer will pack one of everything in a box (box could have up to 4-6 pieces)
  • Place product in a box, install operator/owner manual into each box.
  • Place completed box on roll conveyor and send manually down conveyor to final pack.
  • In the Final Pack, you will inspect the container to secure all boxes are in container.
  • Container will be moved to a weigh scale for weight verification
  • Once weight has been recorded and is correct
  • Packer will use a hand held tape gun to seal product.
  • Once seal product will be place on pallet
  • Container will weigh no more the 35lbs. completely packed
  • Case will be stacked 28 cases per pallet
  • Once complete packer will utilize a manual pallet jack to move the pallet out to staging area for forklift operator to move to final destination.

    Responsibilities 

    The peeler operator is responsible for ensuring quality logs are ready and available

    for the peeler operation in addition to keeping a continuous flow of hole bored logs

    available to transfer to peeler machine. The operator is also responsible for the safe

    and of efficient operation of machinery and for quality checks and documentation.

    1. a) Will set up machine
    2. b) Will run a peeler operator machine
    3. c) Quality Control
    4. d) General Housekeeping of the work area
    5. e) Follow all of L&P’s rules and procedures

    7. g) May be required to lift up to 40lbs

           

    Activities 

    Hole Borer

    1. a) Ensure that the mold bored holes are directly in the center of the logs
    2. b) Remove mandrel and load next log as soon as possible. (Mandrel is the bar that rolls the padding up, this bar weights approximately 5lbs, made of Aluminum. EE will roll the roll onto the platform and once the roll is in place, EE will step over to control panel and the Mandrel will lift the roll in place onto the peeler machine.
    3. c) EE will have to press the start button and the peeler machine will start to peel off the first layer. Once the first layer is peeled, EE will turn off the machine using a button, step onto the peeler machine platform and feel log into wind-up to set up machine. Once the machine is set up, EE will step off the machine standing platform and go over to control panel and turn the machine back on.
    4. e) EE will do quality checks on the roll as it is peeling standing to the side of the peeler machine.
    5. f) EE will tear off bad areas of log with hands, Spray paint thickness density and machine ID on first log when product changes and after the operator has stopped.
    6. g) Once the full roll is complete. EE will remove the mandrel; push the finished roll onto moving conveyor that will bring the roll to the Feed in area.
    7. h) EE will document all information - Will do some light data entry to log padding information into a spread sheet to indicate number of logs produced daily (will be training on computer no skills needed)
    8. i) EE measures samples of each log assigned gage block for correct thickness
